Abstract

The question concerns residual fault-category association, not failure prevalence. The secondary ordinary least squares analysis contains 1,941 observations and uses HC3 covariance. The coefficient on log_area is -0.0472, with a 95 percent interval from -0.0588 to -0.0356. Other Faults is a residual label in the released taxonomy. It should not be interpreted as the unobserved defect population. Retained and avoided groups need an externally defined diagnostic consequence. The association can motivate which categories or features deserve checking, while the value of a subset depends on later review cost and errors not measured by this label alone. The estimates describe the released collection and its conditioning set. No new data collection, simulator experiment, or deployment-policy evaluation is claimed.
