Abstract

Patient-specific stopping and improvement probability in radiation planning need different final outcomes. Their common question is when costly computational evidence justifies commitment. The comparison should preserve profile-level uncertainty and the event defining planning improvement. Neither an early stopping result nor a high planning probability supplies an unmeasured clinical effect. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
