An Ordinal Rule Prepared before the Operating Context Arrives
Abstract
Offline simulation can support a prediction combination for later contextual ordering. The combination must be frozen before application outcomes arrive, and covariates must be available before action. Independent local checks target rank reversals that change the selected design. A retrospective average fit does not establish the original offline rule's prospective usefulness. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
