Good-Enough Adoption and an Explicit Worst Subset
Abstract
An acceptable design and a design outside the worst group are not necessarily the same object. Evaluation should preserve the externally defined adequacy boundary and separately assess avoidance errors. It reports the loss of rejecting a useful candidate as well as accepting a poor one. Precise interior ranking can be secondary to those consequential boundaries. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
